THE DRIFTER, inspired by the “Leaving Pattern”
Theme: “I disappear before I feel too much.”
People in this pattern float away mentally, disconnect, and live slightly outside their body.
The nervous system tends toward freeze/dissociation when faced with stressors.
THE DRIFTER
“The Leaving Pattern”,
The Drifter: When Your Nervous System Escapes Before You Do.
Ever feel like you’re in the room but not in your body? That’s this pattern doing its thing, protecting you by disconnecting.

A tendency to float mentally, detach, and drift into your own inner world when things get intense. You may struggle to stay grounded or present, especially during emotional moments.

Exercises
1. Grounding Stretch, “Weight Drop”

Let your weight drop toward the ground

How I will help you
Using somatic therapies and SIT (subconscious Imprinting Technique) I help you break the patterns your mind is sick and tired of but your body keeps running.
I will guide you into the places and spaces where those old reactions live in your body, the tension, the shutdown, the overdrive. That’s where we work with your nervous system to release the programming that’s been keeping you stuck. Instead of trying to use logic, we bypass the thinking brain and access the root of it all by dialoging with the body. So you can respond differently, feel clearer, and move forward without dragging old outdated survival patterns with you.
With over 20 years of experience in body based care, I am confident I can help you get back on your “golden path”.
